European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT) competition award

The Fiberbio team successfully competed in the Jumpstarter competition of the Food Branch of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT Food). In the grand final held on November 14, 2019 in Riga, we were awarded with the third prize.

90 teams from 13 European countries took part in the competition. The six most promising ideas were selected to take part in the Grand Final in the Latvian capital. A more detailed description of the finalist projects is available here.

While informing on the success, the Transindex news portal from Transylvania wrote: “The technology developed by a team led by dr. Péter Hantz, allows the production of healthy and tasty snacks with high fiber and low sugar content from pressed apple, carrot, beetroot and hemp seed fibers.” The full text of the article can be read here.
